The matching ratio of local ships in Nantong is only 10% currently. In order to change the condition of weak overall marine supporting capability and low industrial convergence degree, City of Nantong is actively preparing at all times to construct a professional and large marine supporting park. As the result, the trial industrial park (Nantong Marine Equipment Industrial Park) co-developed by Nantong Development & Reforming Commission and the People’s Government of Gangzha District emerges as the times require. The Park is located in Nantong Gangzha Economic Development Zone where enjoys convenient traffic, established facilities, converged industries and excellent environment.

　　Thirdly, Nantong urgently needs to develop certain high value-added and promising matching products, primarily including large-sized nonstandard steel structure, fine speed governor, marine meter and control system. The marine meter business should be greatly developed because the shipbuilding demand is huge and Nantong enjoys sound meter manufacturing base.

　　Fourthly, Nantong will primarily introduce in the future a group of key matching products and projects with world class, which includes mainly high-power marine diesel engine project, large-sized crank shaft project, marine boiler, oil platform building project, etc.
