State-level Development Zones. As one of the earliest invested state-level development areas, having realized the so-called "eleven-availabilities, one prevention, and one accessibility", Nantong Economic and Technological Development Zone boasts complete set of infrastructure facilities and is the most suitable place for the development of portside and hi-tech industries. Nantong Exports Processing Zone is a state-level exports processing area established under the approval of the State Council, which can extensively attract various investment projects characterized by export products.
       Provincial-level Development Zones. In addition, Nantong currently possesses ten provincial-level development zones, located in Nantong's eight county (city) areas respectively. Most of these development areas are built up within the manufacturing belt along the river and coast, enjoying obvious regional advantages and the preferential policies under Jiangsu Province' development strategy along the river. The areas are equipped with complete set of infrastructure facilities and sound service system, which makes them capable of acquiring and accommodating various industrial investment projects of different scales.
       City-level Industrial Zones. Nantong boasts a number of characterized industrial areas such as Tongzhou Chuangang, Haimen S anxing , and Qidong Tianfen, etc., in six county (city) areas. Relying on the advantages in the existing embroidery and electric tool industries etc, the industrial areas have developed themselves into a well-known gathering place for characterized industries in China.
